The purpose of our organization is to increase learning and educational opportunities for youth in STEM related fields.  Our mission is in congruent with the teaching of The "Guru Granth Sahib," the Sikh holy scripture, The word "Sikh" refers to an individual who is a lifelong learner and therefore engages in learning and teaching others.  The purpose of this organization is to increase learning and educational opportunities for all individuals as prescribed in the Sikh faith, without regard to their personal beliefs.

We offer college counseling, academic tutoring and music lessons to underprivileged students at low or no cost to help them advance their educational goals.  Through our services, we provide mentorship and guidance to students  to close opportunity gaps that disproportionately affect students from low-income families.

Specifically, we offer the following services:

1.  Free / Low cost college counseling sessions for all students from low-income families.

2.  Free / Low cost personalized after school tutoring in STEM subjects for all students from low-income families.

3. Holiday toy drive for local area children.

Miri Piri Welfare Society has been operating since January 2018.  Dr. Rajwant Singh Bedi, the founding director, holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and has over 10 years of professional experience in the education and college counseling field. He has provided free counseling and tutoring to students over the past 10 years and has continued to spread knowledge in many ways.  

In addition, Miri Pir Welfare Society continues to battle social issues by providing support for those experiencing homelessness, especially children, in many ways.  We offer scholarships, food assistance, grant Christmas wishes and support many other causes with the support of our members, volunteers and patrons.

We are supported by generous donations by our members, volunteers and patrons from the community.  Your support is essential to the work we do and enables us to bring equity and equality to this world.  We thank you for your support, whether it is by providing financial assistance, volunteering your time, or giving us a pat on the back for a job well done.  Without you, we would not be able to support so many programs.
